Shamanic Healing Sessions

Why do we need Shamanic Healing?

We live in a time where we are collectively beginning to see old stories of progress and the lie of separation fall apart. The structures that depend upon the belief that we are fundamentally disconnected from each other, our environment and all the many beings that inhabit it are breaking down around us. During this time of transition many find themselves in pain, feeling stuck in the space between stories, hungry for a meaningful life, yearning to create lasting change in the world or simply longing for an end to the pain and constant turmoil.

Many of us have encountered deep imbalances or illness in our lives that nothing seems to be able to fix. We do excellent personal work and engage strategy after strategy to create change, but we still experience what feels like PTSD, a painful hole or something habitually off that we just can’t seem to shake. This kind of pain has a way of limiting our sense of possibilities and vision and leaving us feeling desperate and hopeless– wondering if this will just be the permanent state of our lives.

These are the times that Shamanic Healing can be most helpful. When our hearts have been softened by suffering and we are ready to work at the soul level to receive support in engaging in radical transformation. When we are ready to do the work to become the person who no longer has the illnesses or imbalances that we currently are facing.

What are Shamanic Healing sessions?

From a shamanic perspective, the true root of all things lies in the Spirit World. A shamanic healing session involves me going into a deep trance state and connecting with my helping spirits. I then journey to the source of the problem in the spirit world and work with my helping spirits to create a change there. This allows healing and transformation to occur that wasn’t previously possible. I then help you to integrate the new energy that has been retrieved for you or make sure that energy that has been removed will not come back.

Energy retrieved can include soul parts that split off due to trauma, shadow parts, helping spirits (animals and plants among other types of spirit guides) and/or information. Energy cleared can include unresolved ancestral patterns, intrusive energies or simply energies generated from one’s own self-sabotaging patterns.

While everyone’s responses after a session are different– common experiences include release of physical or emotional pain, gaining access to parts of one’s self that previously were inaccessible, gaining new perspectives, insights and an experience of deep strength, sovereignty and joy, and experiencing transformation of parts of one’s self that previously felt immoveable and impossible to shift.

All of this can occur during the influx of energy and change during the two weeks after the session. Often however, even deeper changes occur in the two months after a session as the client engages in the integration process, coming into relationship with the energy that has returned and seeing what they need to stop doing and start doing for it to fully move into their life.

How are Shamanic Healing sessions conducted?

Shamanic Healing sessions are offered both in person one on one and long distance. All sessions start with a free 25 minute phone consultation. For distance sessions, the healing will be conducted after the consultation and sent as a recording with followup instructions to the client. All clients (both in person and distance) will receive a recording of their session and detailed instructions regarding the next steps they would benefit from taking for their integration of the healing.

Clients should then schedule an integration call about two weeks after to help facilitate their process and make sure they understand all that occurred during the session. During this call, we will discuss any questions you have about what came up during the session, the changes you have experienced since the session and make sure you have a firm understanding of the next steps you need to take to integrate the healing.

Payment

Based on the guidance from my helping spirits and the practices of my teachers–there is no set fee for a Shamanic healing session. The spirit world understands the language of sacrifice. Your fee is your sacrifice. Your fee needs to be a sacrifice that is appropriate for the healing of your soul. Through your sacrifice you are saying to the spirit world “I am stepping up here. Please meet me.” More is not necessarily better. The spirit world conserves energy; it does not appreciate excess or spiritual ambition. This decision is between you, the spirit world and your heart.

To give a frame of reference— $300 is an appropriate minimum for this work. Is this a true sacrifice for you? Or is it dinner and drinks on Saturday night with friends? If it is not a true sacrifice then consider more. If it is so great a sacrifice that it would prohibit you from the work, then consider a smaller amount or breaking the fee into two payments. A true sacrifice communicates your heart and your mind. This isn’t something you need to stress over. Simply trust your instincts and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

FAQ

Deep Liberation Sessions help you to work with trauma, fears, beliefs, addictions and stuck patterns that are held in your body. During a session, I guide you in coming into presence with and transforming these energies at their root. In a Shamanic Healing session, I journey into the spirit world to help you to heal at the soul level. The issues addressed by Shamanic Healing are energetic patterns and wounds that can’t be cleared during a Deep Liberation Session.

These issues can include soul loss, unresolved ancestral trauma, intrusive energies, curses or loss of connection to the guide and allies that are mean to be working with us.

Perhaps the most common example of wounds requiring shamanic healing are soul parts that have split off into the spirit realm and become lost or stuck leaving a hole. We build our lives in a way that avoids us having to engage with that hole (or holes) inside of us. When you encounter that hole during a Deep Liberation Session, it might feel like an endless abyss, or extreme despair.

Once I retrieve the soul part in a shamanic healing and it is integrated back into you, the healing can then be integrated and deepened by engaging a Deep Liberation session. Deep Liberation is sometimes needed to engage with and transform the wounds the soul part brought back with it that caused it to leave in the first place. These wounds were not previously accessible for healing, but now that the soul part has been brought back they can be transformed, leaving you more powerful and more whole.

No. During our consultation you should feel free to let me know if you have a strong hunch that you need a certain type of healing (soul retrieval, ancestral healing, shadow retrieval, heart clearing, etc.), but ultimately my helping spirits will guide the process and let me know what type of healing you need. If it’s your first session, it’s extremely likely there will be at least one soul retrieval involved among other kinds of healing.

First, we will have a phone or video consultation to discuss what you are most wanting to transform, heal or manifest in your life right now and where you feel the most stuck. If it seems you would benefit from this type of work, we will then schedule a time for the healing to be completed. After our initial call, I will journey to my helping spirits and perform divination with them to assess what kind of work is most needed at this time. I then perform the work with my helping spirits during the healing session. The healing may be conducted live online, in person, or from a distance, and you will receive a recording of the completed healing.

Afterwards, I recommend that clients book a Shamanic Healing Integration session (link) to discuss any questions they have and make sure they understand the process for integration. This often includes helping clients learn basic journeying skills or other ways to connect with their helping spirits and soul parts, guidance in performing rituals and discussing finer points of the energies present during the healing that might not have been recorded. Occasionally, as clients work to integrate soul parts of themselves that have been brought back or clear ancestral patterns that emerged they can benefit from some Deep Liberation sessions to work through the triggers or fears that arise.

While all aspects of shamanic healing require some form of integration, one of the easiest examples to explain are soul retrievals. When we lose a part of our soul due to trauma, especially when it occurs at a young age, we build our lives around that hole. We structure ourselves and our lives in a way that we avoid ever having to make contact with the site of that wound. We find ways of surviving that don’t require that part of us, the way someone who loses a limb might have to change their physical movements to compensate. When the soul part comes back, we then have to learn to engage with this part of us and change the behaviors we created to survive without that part of us. Additionally, the soul part is the same age it was when it left so we need to get it up to speed, explaining our current adult life to it. Whether the healing that occurs is ancestral healing, soul retrieval, shadow retrieval, power retrieval, other forms of healing or (most likely) a combination, I will share with you detailed instructions on how to integrate these energies in a way that transforms your life in a sustainable way, beyond the initial rush of change that usually occurs within the first two weeks of a session. This is why integration calls after a healing session are vitally important.
